About the Opportunity

At OKX Liqudity Platform department, our Risk & Analytics Engineering team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, efficiency, and resilience of our liqudity-providing business. As the guardians of risk management, we are responsible for designing and maintaining cutting-edge systems that provide real-time insights into our trading activities and market risk. The team operates at the intersection of technology and finance, leveraging expertise in quantitative analysis, system engineering, and market dynamics to build tools that safeguard our trading operations during volatile market conditions. Our solutions are fully independent, decoupled from trading logic, and connected to 20+ trading venues, empowering us to monitor and manage risks effectively across diverse scenarios.

This role is open to Senior and Staff-level candidates; scope and title will be calibrated based on experience and impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

•
Develop Advanced Risk Solutions: Design and implement internal risk monitoring and management systems tailored to strategic and business needs. These systems will include real-time market data analysis, PnL and risk calculations, automated alerting mechanisms, reporting tools, circuit-breaking strategies, and high-availability architecture.

• Strengthen Risk Controls: Optimize existing risk control frameworks and logic to enhance system efficiency, prevent/minimize losses during market volatility, and ensure effective risk mitigation under diverse market scenarios.

Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with risk managers and product managers to gather feedback and refine the risk management system through iterative development.

• Drive Cross-Functional Projects: Oversee project progress and coordinate with trading desk developers, risk managers, operations teams, and other key stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions on time.

Mentor & Share Knowledge: Guide junior engineers to establish best practices and methodologies for building and maintaining risk control systems.

What We Look For In You

•
Passion for Finance & Technology: Strong enthusiasm for trading, blockchain, and the financial industry.

•
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline. A combined background in finance is highly advantageous.

•
Industry Experience: Over 5 years of experience in quantitative trading or front-office technology roles at exchanges, banks, or investment institutions. Experience with market-making teams or crypto exchanges is a significant plus.

Technical Expertise:

•
Advanced Python programming skills. Java experience a plus

•
Knowledge of SQL, Redis, and Kafka.

•
Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AliCloud or AWS.

•
Understanding and practical experience with RESTful APIs and web services.

•
Comfortable navigating and working in Linux/Unix shell environments.

•
Risk & Compliance Mindset: Strong aptitude for risk control and compliance, with the ability to adapt systems to meet evolving control & compliance requirements.

Analytical & Collaborative Skills: Strong logical thinking, effective teamwork, and excellent communication skills. Proven ability to organize and align resources to solve complex problems and achieve cross-departmental objectives.

Nice to Haves

•
Experience designing internal control and risk management systems for banks, hedge funds, or exchanges.

•
Familiarity with auditing reports and working alongside compliance teams, regulatory bodies, or external auditors.

•
Strong understanding of blockchain technology, DeFi protocols, and the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

•
Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent are an added advantage.

• Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in both English and Mandarin to collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional team members.
