Our client is a new hospital located in Okija, Anambra State, Nigeria, built and equipped according to world-class international standards and being developed to be one of the world’s foremost pediatric health-care institutions. The hospital aims to be Nigerian’s leading health-care centre dedicated to advancing children’s health through the integration of patient care and research.
To successfully achieve this aim, the board has identified the immediate need to recruit competent and suitably qualified professionals to fill various positions within the hospital. Successful candidates will be trained to use modern equipment and current literature to deliver evidence-based health-care.
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for exceptional, highly motivated, energetic and result-oriented individuals to step up and make a difference. Immediate opportunities exist in this position:
Reporting to the head of Nursing services, the successful candidates will have primary responsibilities for word management, as well as providing and maintaining, the highest possible standard of nursing care.
Monitor and report patient’s condition to the medical staff, ensure prescribed treatments are administered and that all members of health care team are kept informed of the changing needs of patients
Assist and supervise other members of the nursing team, ensuring that all staff work to achieve an acceptable safe standard and quality of care.
Implement and oversee good housekeeping practice, as well as ensure word expenditure is within budgetary limits.
Maintain up-to date working knowledge of relevant patient/care policies and procedures with particular references to safe handling of patients.
Act as an associate mentor to students allocated to the ward.
Candidates must have dual qualification NRN and NRM.
Possession of B. sc or health related management studies will be an advantage.
Registration with the nursing and midwifery council of Nigeria.
5 years post registration experience.
First level registration qualification within intensive care unit, high dependency unit or accident and emergency.
