Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer with strong experience in modern Java, cloud-native development, and building scalable distributed systems. You will work across APIs, messaging platforms, cloud services, and containerized environments to deliver high-performing, resilient backend services.

Location: Chennai (Hybrid)

Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Java 17+./ 21
• Implement and optimize REST and OpenAPI-based services.
• Work with Kafka for event-driven and streaming architectures.
• Develop microservices with containerization, Azure, and modern cloud patterns.
• Use SQL & NoSQL databases efficiently for scalable data access.
• Implement reliable testing using Test Containers.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
• Work with GraphQL (GQL) endpoints where required.
• Ensure strong observability via monitoring and logging frameworks (Dynatrace experience is a bonus).
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, production-grade systems.

Requirements
Must Have

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+.
• Experience building modern APIs (REST / OpenAPI).
• Good understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Kafka.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Gradle as a build tool.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services.
• Working knowledge of GitHub Actions, CI/CD.
• Familiarity with observability tools (logs, metrics, tracing).

Nice to Have

• Reactive Programming experience (Project Reactor, RxJava).
• Experience with Test Containers.
• Experience with GraphQL (GQL).
• Exposure to Dynatrace or any enterprise observability platform.
