About the team:

As a Frontend Engineer at OKX, you will work closely with a top-notch development team on a wide variety of products, building with performance, scalability, and reliability in mind to serve a world-class digital asset trading platform with millions of active users.

You will join the Growth Operations Platform team, building and maintaining mission-critical internal tools that power OKX's business operations at scale. You will work within large-scale micro-frontend projects, delivering high-quality interfaces used daily by operations, marketing, compliance, and business teams across the organization.

This role goes beyond traditional frontend engineering. You will shape frontend architecture - designing reusable components and tools, establishing development patterns and best practices, and driving modern tooling adoption to improve developer experience across the platform. Beyond architecture, you will develop and ship features directly on the platform, collaborating cross-functionally with backend engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate complex operational workflows into intuitive, performant interfaces.

You will also be at the forefront of AI-augmented development - building AI-powered assistants and agent-based workflows directly into the platform. We're looking for engineers who harness AI coding tools as a force multiplier in their own workflow, shipping higher-quality code faster while codifying team processes into reusable, shareable automations.

Responsibilities:

Architect, develop and maintain frontend solutions with performance, scalability and continuous integration in mind.

•
Design technical architecture, write documentation, and establish frontend development patterns and best practices for adoption across the platform.

•
Leverage AI coding agents and tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) to accelerate development, improve code quality, and automate repetitive tasks across the team's workflow.

•
Design and maintain reusable AI extensions like custom skills, MCP servers, and tool integrations.

•
Develop and maintain reusable component libraries, plugins, and shared modules consumed across multiple products to reduce duplication and improve consistency.

Collaborate closely with backend engineers to design and integrate scalable and extensible APIs.

•
Drive improvements to developer experience and engineering velocity - build tooling, CI/CD pipelines, code generation, and AI-assisted workflow automation.

•
Research and resolve complex technical challenges including cross-browser compatibility, performance bottlenecks, and state management at scale.

•
Continuously improve product quality and user experience by working with PMs and designers to translate complex business workflows into intuitive interfaces.

Requirements:

•
Bachelor's in Computer Science / Engineering / or related STEM field.

•
Solid experience with React and TypeScript in production environments.

•
Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) - comfortable using AI to augment development workflows, generate code, and solve problems faster.

•
Exposure to or strong interest in building AI-powered features - chat interfaces, LLM integrations, agent orchestration, or conversational UX.

•
Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol), custom skill/tool authoring, or AI agent extensibility patterns - understanding how to connect AI agents to external systems and codify workflows into reusable automations is a strong plus.

Strong foundation in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc.

•
Understand front-end packaging workflow and be familiar with standard development tools such as npm, webpack, git, etc.

•
Understanding of cross-browser compatibility challenges and the ability to diagnose and resolve rendering/behavioral differences across environments.

•
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with backend teams, PMs, and operations stakeholders.

•
A proactive, ownership-driven mindset - eager to identify improvements, propose solutions, and contribute beyond assigned tasks.
