Senior/Staff Founding Software Engineer (Cloud / Full Stack)

Build the cloud and application layer behind one of the most widely adopted open-source AI platforms already powering real products in production.

This is a founding-level opportunity to own end-to-end features, spanning cloud infrastructure and backend services to clean frontend interfaces that enterprise customers use to run AI copilots and agents at scale.

The platform has 20k+ GitHub stars, tens of thousands of weekly installs, millions of copilot interactions, and double-digit MoM growth. It’s already monetizing at the enterprise level, used by startups and Fortune 100s, and backed by $6.5M led by a top-tier AI investor. The team is small, senior, and moving fast.

The Role
You’ll join as a Senior / Staff Founding Software Engineer with a backend-first, cloud-focused full-stack scope. You’ll design and build the enterprise SaaS platform that complements a widely used open-source AI toolkit, delivering both the power and simplicity enterprise customers expect.

Your work spans:
- Cloud-native backend systems and APIs built with TypeScript
- Scalable infrastructure on AWS and modern cloud services
- Straightforward React frontends for configuring, managing, and monitoring deployments

You’ll own features end-to-end, from infrastructure and backend logic to frontend presentation, balancing startup speed with enterprise-grade reliability and security.

What You’ll Do
- Build scalable cloud-native backend systems and APIs using TypeScript
- Develop simple, functional React interfaces for enterprise configuration and monitoring
- Design infrastructure and deployment pipelines for cloud-hosted and self-hosted setups
- Add monitoring, logging, and observability for production systems
- Optimize performance, reliability, and cloud cost
- Own features end-to-end, from backend logic to frontend delivery

Must Have Experience
- 5+ years of TypeScript experience
- Strong backend and cloud engineering background
- Solid React experience for production use
- Hands-on AWS experience and cloud architecture knowledge
- Comfort owning systems across the stack
- High autonomy, ownership mindset, and strong communication skills

Nice to Have
- Kubernetes, Docker, or IaC experience
- Experience with developer tools, APIs, or open source
- Exposure to AI / LLM infrastructure
- Python experience
