REQUIREMENTS:

• Total Experience 7.5 years
• Strong expertise in Scala, Apache Spark, and SQL for building scalable, distributed data systems.
• Hands-on experience with Spark-Scala, Hadoop, and Data Engineering fundamentals including data ingestion and Data Warehousing.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Hive, and query tuning with performance optimization.
• Experience with Airflow and Big Data orchestration tools like Yarn or Oozie.
• Knowledge of designing large-scale Data Platforms and Data Lakes.
• Experience in Big Data testing (unit, integration) and data quality validation.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Maven/sbt, and Git.
• Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Exposure to Kafka/Spark Streaming, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and Kubernetes/Docker is a plus.
• Willingness to support 24x7 based on rota.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as a technical expert and support the Engineering Manager on key decisions.
• Understand requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines for large-scale processing.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
• Mentor team members and ensure efficient delivery.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks proactively.
• Contribute to documentation and ensure knowledge sharing across the team.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
