Job Description
The responsibilities are as follows:
Preparation of Compilation Engagement files and T2 corporate tax returns – intermediate level files and above
Understanding of corporate tax balances (CDA, RDTOH, GRIP etc.)
Preparation of corporate or personal tax planning scenario calculations
Preparation of Canadian personal tax returns – intermediate level files and above
Prepare/review a variety of Tslips
Fulfills a variety of support roles in accounting and bookkeeping for clients
Prepare/review GST and other statutory returns for clients as required
Assists with special projects as assigned by partners and managers
Qualifications:
Approximately 3-5 years working in a public practice role
Perhaps you are a CPA student or newly designated CPA who recently conquered the CFE, or maybe you have equivalent experience in public practice without a designation.
Great work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with both clients and colleagues
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Additional skills of a preferred candidate:
Familiarity with accounting and tax software (SAGE, QuickBooks, TaxPrep, CaseWare)
Corporate accounting or financial statement experience
Corporate tax experience
Personal tax experience
Bookkeeping experience
