Prasad and Company LLP is a growing team looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Assurance department.

You will lead and manage assurance and tax engagements, support and mentor junior team members, and play an important role in delivering high-quality client service—while contributing to the collaborative and high-performing culture that defines our firm.
What you’ll do:
Manage a portfolio of client engagements, including compilations, reviews, audits, and related corporate and personal tax filings
Plan engagements, monitor budgets, and track WIP
Ensure engagements are completed on time, meet firm quality standards, and comply with ASPE, CAS, and Canadian review standards
Identify, escalate, and resolve complex accounting and audit issues in a timely manner
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Develop a deep understanding of client businesses, financials, and tax matters to provide tailored advice
Identify opportunities to add value, including tax planning, reorganizations, and optimization strategies
Maintain ongoing client communication throughout the year to support smooth engagement delivery
Review work prepared by junior and intermediate team membersf, providing clear and constructive feedback
Mentor and support team members in technical development, professional judgment, and client service excellence
Assist in assigning work and managing workflows to ensure deadlines are met
Support staff development, performance growth, and learning initiatives
Collaborate closely with Managers, partners and the tax team to integrate tax planning into assurance engagements
Contribute to process improvements and the enhancement of firm methodologies
Promote open communication and a supportive, team-oriented environment
What we’re looking for:
CPA designation in good standing with CPA Ontario
Minimum 4 years of public accounting experience in a staff accountant role with exposure to audit, review adn tax projects
Strong technical knowledge of ASPE, CAS, and Canadian review standards
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment
Working experience with CaseWare and a tax preparation software is essential
Working knowledge of Karbon is considered an asset
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

Our compensation ranges are reviewed annually, and placement within the range is based on a combination of factors, including your experience, technical expertise, and overall alignment with internal equity and team contribution. To support transparency, the current salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000
