This role will be based at 144 Oxford Road, Rosebank.
Frequent travel to the operations is a requirement for the role.
The purpose of this role is to provide specialist support in the implementation and execution of Integrated Assurance.
 
• Safety: Oversee consistent application of Safety & Health principles in all discipline interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.
 
• Performance and Delivery
• Implement and monitor assurance programs for the assigned areas of responsibility
• Prepare reports, presentations, and briefings which detail and analyse assurance activities status, trends, and risks.
• Coordinate the Integrated Assurance Program, conduct assurance audits and assessments, and identify deficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Support the establishment of systems to continuously evaluate the assurance program implementation and performance
• Implement assurance training programs to build site capabilities following group guidelines.
• Implement effective communication and engagement programs to share information and develop capabilities
• Monitor Assurance KPIs for the assigned areas of responsibility and establish an operating rhythm with key stakeholders
• Deliver governance routines to Assurance programs to guarantee program consistency and adherence to group requirements
• Provide assurance on audit actions
• Support the implementation of leading practice across functions, operations and projects
• Support independent assurance activates across group as required

• Compliance
• Ensure compliance to internal and external regulatory, legislative and permitting requirements.
• Bachelor’s / Honors degree in sciences, engineering or other related careers.
 
Experience
• 5 – 7 years relevant experience in similar role or context.
 
Technical knowledge(experience) required for role
• Demonstrated experience within a technical environment, including the coordination of knowledge sharing with broader stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience working within investigations at a project, operation or BU level in mining or Oil and Gas Industry.
• Leadership, excellent communication skills, proactive team work, orderly work, assertive negotiation, conflict solving, influence and persuasion in decision-making
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail
• Translate findings and recommendations into tangible operational outcomes.
• Translates strategy into practical solutions for multiple sites and support the development of required skills and capability in others. Ensures ongoing focus on the management of major risk.
• Applies tools and techniques to identify the key factors that contribute to risk and harm. Empowers line management to contribute to risk management
• Embeds sustainable practice into processes within own role/area. Makes explicit links between sustainable practice and commercial benefit.
• Solves technical and operational issues in cooperation with relevant stakeholders. Implements the most effective solutions to drive efficiencies.
• Optimises productivity and quality targets by utilising deep technical expertise and cooperating with multi-disciplinary teams to highlight and address areas of improvement.
• Manages, monitors and drives project activities within a specific project or operation. Proactively escalates risks and proposes mitigating actions.
