As the Senior Solutions Architect, Scams; you’ll shape the end‑to‑end architecture that supports how we manage and resolve scam‑related complaints at scale.
This role brings together business, customer and regulatory needs to design secure, scalable and well‑integrated solutions across digital channels, workflows, data and platforms. Operating in a complex, high‑change environment, you’ll be a hands‑on technical leader and trusted advisor, enabling delivery while keeping architectural integrity front and centre.
What you’ll do
• Own and define end‑to‑end solution architecture supporting AFCA’s scams capability
• Translate business, customer and regulatory requirements into practical, implementable solution designs
• Lead architecture across digital applications, workflow, integration, data and security layers
• Work closely with Delivery Leads, Product Owners and business stakeholders to support outcomes and customer journeys
• Provide hands‑on architectural guidance to delivery teams, including patterns, trade‑offs and design decisions
• Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, risk and regulatory expectations in a highly regulated environment
• Partner with vendors and delivery partners to ensure solutions align to target architecture and standards
• Identify and manage architectural risks, dependencies and technical debt
• Contribute to evolving enterprise and digital architecture standards and roadmaps
What you'll bring:
• Significant experience as a Solutions Architect in complex enterprise environments
• Proven involvement in large‑scale digital and customer experience transformations, including digital applications and platform change
• Strong background across digital channels, customer journeys, integrations and platform architecture
• Experience working in regulated environments such as financial services or government
• Hands‑on architecture capability, working closely with agile and SAFe delivery teams
• Ability to connect business process design, customer experience and technical architecture end‑to‑end
• Deep understanding of modern digital architectures, including APIs, integration patterns and cloud‑based platforms
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence business, delivery and technology leaders
• Sound judgement balancing delivery pace, risk and long‑term sustainability
• A pragmatic, outcome‑focused mindset with comfort operating in fast‑paced, high‑change environments
• A credible technical leader, clear communicator and collaborative team player with a strong customer focus
