About the Team

As a member of our diverse and skilled Presales team, you will sit at the intersection of Sales, Product Management, Consulting, and Marketing. Your mission is to bring the value of Workday solutions to life, showcasing how the office of the CFO and CHRO can be revolutionized through next-generation SaaS planning and consolidation applications.

About the Role

Workday is looking for a senior-level technical professional with deep expertise in both Planning and Consolidation. You will leverage your product and industry knowledge to provide functional expertise throughout the sales process for our largest enterprise prospects.

You will lead discovery workshops with prospective customers to uncover

business requirements and value. You will provide authoritative overview and deep-dive product demonstrations and position the unique value of Workday Adaptive Planning. You will conduct executive-level presentations and provide trusted advice and mentorship as a planning subject matter expert. We also assist in responding to RFP’s, participate in Workday events such as webinars, customer forums, andindustry conferences and tradeshows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Discovery: Lead workshops with prospective customers to uncover business requirements, current pain points, and potential value.

• High-Impact Demonstrations/Presentations: Deliver authoritative deep-dive product demonstrations and executive-level presentations that position the unique value of Workday Adaptive Planning.

• Technical Excellence: Develop and champion Workday-based solutions, which may include rapid prototyping, creating mini-applications, or delivering complex Proofs of Concept (POC).

• Trusted Advisor: Build deep relationships with C-level stakeholders—specifically the office of the CFO—offering mentorship and credible subject matter expertise.

• Sales Partnership: Collaborate with Account Executives to lead RFP/RFI responses and develop winning value propositions

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Finance Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting systems. Consolidation experience is a must-have for this role.

• 3+ years’ experience and proven track record in a Presales Solution Consulting role, ideally within a software/SaaS environment.

• 3+ years extensive experience presenting to C-level executives with the ability to communicate influentially.

• Strong understanding of the Financial Planning and Consolidation functional areas as well as Workforce Planning.

Other Qualifications:

• Exposure to Planning solutions from Anaplan, Onestream, IBM Planning Analytics, SAP and Oracle would be an advantage

• Experience engaging with medium and large enterprises across various industries such as FSI, Higher Education, Healthcare, Government, Professional Services and Retail.

• Experience in Workforce, Headcount, Sales and Operational Planning will be desirable.

• You are an exceptional, dynamic presenter with strong communication and influencing skills, specifically to a C-level Finance leadership audience

• You possess credibility and passion for presentations and product demonstrations around FP&A technology solutions

• You thrive under pressure and can manage multiple, simultaneous engagements with different prospects

• You are a "continuous learner" who is passionate about innovation and creative problem-solving.

• Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to engage with customers and partners in the field.

• You are adaptable and excited to work in a high-growth, evolving organization.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
