Role: Senior Automation Quality Control Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Senior Software Quality Control Engineer to join our QC team. The QC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications through thorough manual and automated testing. The role involves analyzing requirements, preparing and executing test cases, reporting defects, and working closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to deliver high-quality software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to derive test scenarios.

• Design, develop, and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and UAT testing across multiple platforms.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing.

• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).

• Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks.

• Perform published API testing (SOAP & REST) using tools like SoapUI and Postman.

• Execute manual test cases and log defects with clear steps, evidence, and priority in defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).

• Collaborate with developers and business analysts to reproduce, analyze, and resolve defects.

• Provide accurate testing status updates and contribute to test planning and estimation.

• Follow defined QA processes, standards, and contribute to continuous improvement.

• Validate backend data using SQL queries to ensure data integrity.

Requirements:
Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5–7 years of experience in Software Quality Control testing.

• 3+ years of hands-on automation experience.

• Strong knowledge of automation testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress).

• Strong knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured).

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines

• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile).

• Strong knowledge of defect management and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).

• Ability to write and execute basic SQL queries for data validation.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Duration: 1 Year, Full time (renewable)

Language required: Arabic + English proficiency C1 and C2 levels, minimum B2

Work location: Offshore remotely from Egypt

Core hours 9-6pm dubai time
