As a senior member of our engineering team, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of our web platform. You'll architect solutions that serve thousands of users globally, mentor junior developers, and drive technical decisions that impact our entire product. You'll work with modern technologies including React, C#, .NET, and SQL Server. Requirements:
Essential:

• 5+ years of commercial web development experience
• Expert-level proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong experience with C# and .NET framework
• Solid understanding of SQL Server and database design principles
• Proven track record of building and maintaining large-scale web applications
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
• Deep understanding of web performance optimization and security best practices
• Strong grasp of software design patterns and architectural principles
• Experience mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience

Highly Valuable:

• Experience with AngularJS
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services and deployment strategies
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience leveraging AI to enhance development productivity and code quality
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and message queuing

This is a full-time position based in our Auckland office with flexible working options. You'll be joining a team that takes pride in their craft while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. You'll work closely with Product Managers and UX Designers to shape features from conception to deployment. A typical cycle might include architecting a new feature, reviewing PRs, pairing with junior developers on complex problems, and contributing to technical documentation. You'll have real ownership over significant parts of our platform and the autonomy to implement solutions the right way.

As a senior engineer, you'll also participate in our on-call rotation (approximately 1 week every 10-12 weeks), helping ensure our platform's reliability while mentoring others in incident response best practices.
