The Opportunity

You will be part of Postman’s Test Infrastructure team, which powers quality at scale across the company.

At Postman, we believe that quality is everyone’s responsibility. Our team builds the systems, tooling, and infrastructure that enable developers to ship reliable, high-quality products efficiently. From CI/CD pipelines to test frameworks and observability, we focus on improving developer productivity and accelerating feedback loops.

We’re looking for a senior engineer who can help us scale our test infrastructure to meet the next phase of Postman’s growth.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build scalable test infrastructure, frameworks, and tooling with a strong engineering-first mindset

• Collaborate with a small, high-impact team to improve system reliability and developer productivity

• Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines to optimize performance, cost, and feedback cycles

• Develop internal tools and frameworks that simplify testing and improve product quality

• Build and enhance test observability systems, including metrics, dashboards, and insights

• Drive improvements in test performance, stability, and execution efficiency

• Champion best practices in testing, reliability, and developer experience across teams

• Continuously explore and introduce new tools, technologies, and methodologies

About You

• 6+ years of experience building large-scale JavaScript/TypeScript applications

• Strong fundamentals in software design, systems thinking, and test infrastructure

• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD systems

• Experience building or working with test observability, analytics, or reporting systems

• Proven track record of owning and delivering complex engineering initiatives

• Comfortable working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence engineering practices

Nice to Have

• Experience with modern JavaScript tooling (Yarn, NX, Webpack, Babel, ESLint)

• Familiarity with UI test automation frameworks and Chrome DevTools

• Experience building reusable internal or open-source libraries

• Exposure to ephemeral environments, containerization, and distributed systems
