Our NIQ Technology teams are working on our “RTM” platform, a unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure. Our clients around the world rely on NIQ’s data and insights to innovate and grow. Feeding data into the “RTM” platform are also a set of large-scale applications that process millions of records of data every day.

About the Role: 

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll work with a team of exceptional technologists who thrive on learning, experimentation, and transforming cuttingedge ideas into realworld solutions. 

We are looking for a Full Stack Senior Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Angular-based UI development and Java backend technologies. This role demands technical depth, ownership of design and delivery, and the ability to lead and mentor engineers while driving high-quality, scalable solutions. This role will be collaborating closely with product, UX, QA and DevOps teams. Our team is co-located and has adopted SAFE Agile, with central technology hubs in Pune, Chennai, Chicago. 

 Key Responsibilities 

• Design, develop and maintain responsive UI solutions using Angular, Typescript, HTML, CSS and modern web technologies. 
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot. 
• Develop robust, clean, secured, quality and scalable code 
• Integrate frontend with backend services and APIs 
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and pair programming 
• Participate in system design, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies 
• Provide technical leadership in system design, code quality, and best practices. 
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and architects to deliver end-to-end solutions 
• Drive performance, security, and scalability improvements across the stack 
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues 

• 7+ years of fullstack development experience 
• Strong handson expertise in Angular (v14+), Typescript, HTML, CSS. 
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs 
• Strong problemsolving, analytical, and debugging skills  
• Ability to break down complex problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions 
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases 
• Strong understanding of UI architecture, state management, and performance optimization 
• Experience with microservices, Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native development 
• Proven ability to lead technically, influence design decisions, and own delivery 
• Strong foundations in OOP concepts, design patterns, and data structures 
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface across cross-functional technology teams and the business 
• Eagerness to learn independently and flexibility to work across technology stacks 

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) 
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes 
• Experience with RxJS, NgRx, AGgrid, High chart 
• Prior work in Agile/Scrum environments 
• Experience with micro frontend (MFE)and backend for frontend (BFF)architecture.
