(Senior) Software Engineer .NET

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our development team, contributing to one of the leading Regulatory Tax Reporting solutions in the banking sector. Our application assists financial institutions in aggregating, processing, and validating data from diverse sources to produce accurate and compliant tax reports. 

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex business logic within the .NET environment while collaborating closely with Product Management and Architects to deliver creative, qualitative, and sustainable software solutions. Furthermore, you will have the chance to contribute to the modernization of our existing applications and potentially engage with or transition towards our next-generation Tax Platform, which is built on a modern Java-based tech stack. This is an excellent opportunity for a .NET professional eager to expand their skills into modern backend technologies, including Java and cloud-native development. 

What You’ll Do: 
• Develop complex business logic and features in the .NET framework / .NET Core / .NET Standard, relying on SQL Server databases to support global tax reporting requirements. 
• Implement and optimize solution approaches and algorithms for tax calculation and reporting. 
• Ensure software quality through unit testing and acceptance testing. 
• Enhance and modernize the existing application architecture to meet evolving compliance and performance needs. 
• Work in a team-based development environment, coordinating closely with Product Management and Architect. 
• Actively learn about and potentially contribute to our Java Spring Framework / Spring Boot backend services and cloud-native platform components, participating in relevant technical discussions and potentially code reviews. 
• Gain exposure to and contribute to the deployment and management of services in Docker/Kubernetes environments.

Mandatory skills: • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. 
• 5+ years of experience in software development with T-SQL, MS SQL Server, and C#. 
• Solid experience with .NET framework / .NET Core and related technologies. 
• A strong interest in learning and developing skills in Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native backend development 
• Foundational AI Concepts  
• Good English communication skills (verbal and written). 
• Strong sense of team spirit, interpersonal skills, time management, and self-organization. 

Nice-to-Have: 
• Knowledge of GIT and DevOps concepts/tools. 
• Interest in the banking, financial compliance, or tax-reporting industry. 
• Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and CI/CD pipelines. 
• Knowledge or experience on PostgreSQL 
• Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, or RESTful API development. 
• Exposure to cloud environments (Docker, Kubernetes). 
• AI Integration and Workflows. 
• Understanding of cloud-native architecture, microservices, and distributed systems. 
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud providers. 
• Knowledge of tax regulatory reporting frameworks
