Role Description

Amtech is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the ongoing development and enhancement of our flagship Label Traxx ERP platform, a mature enterprise system serving the packaging and printing industries.

This role will focus on maintaining and extending our legacy 4D-based application, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability for our global customer base. While prior 4D experience is not required, the ability to quickly learn and work within an established architecture is essential.

The ideal candidate brings strong enterprise application development experience, deep understanding of business logic–driven systems, and solid relational database skills. Over time, this role will provide opportunities to contribute to modernization initiatives as the platform evolves.

We value engineers who embrace modern development practices, including collaborative Git workflows, Agile delivery, and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•
Develop, maintain, and enhance core modules within the Label Traxx ERP platform.

•
Analyze and extend complex business logic across operational workflows such as order management, production, inventory, and finance.

•
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring high system reliability and performance.

•
Work closely with Product, QA, and Support teams to deliver customer-driven enhancements.

•
Design and optimize database queries while maintaining strong data integrity standards.

•
Participate in code reviews and manage pull requests using GitHub best practices.

•
Contribute actively to Agile ceremonies and backlog tracking using Jira.

•
Document technical designs and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.

•
Promote effective use of AI-assisted development tools to enhance engineering efficiency and quality.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

•
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

•
4+ years of experience in enterprise software development.

•
Strong object-oriented programming experience (C#, .NET, Java, or similar).

•
Experience working on complex ERP, manufacturing, financial, or other business-critical systems.

•
Strong relational database experience (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent).

•
Solid understanding of transactional systems and data modelling.

•
Experience maintaining and enhancing legacy or monolithic applications.

•
Hands-on experience with Git-based version control (GitHub preferred).

•
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams using Jira or similar tools.

•
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

•
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment.

•
Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex) is a plus.
