Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack (Java/AWS/ReactJS)

Our role:

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Sydney team.

This is not a feature-factory role. You’ll be working on real-world systems that require thoughtful engineering, strong design, and long-term thinking.

As part of a collaborative, high-performing team, you’ll contribute across the stack while also influencing technical decisions, architecture, and engineering practices.

This role reports to the Development Manager and does not have people management responsibilities.

What you’ll be doing::
• Design and build scalable, secure, production-grade applications and services.

• Develop across the stack using Java (Spring Boot) and React.

• Contribute to architecture, system design, and technical direction.

• Balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.

• Improve observability, performance, and system reliability.

• Collaborate closely with product and design to deliver meaningful outcomes.

• Mentor engineers through code reviews, feedback, and knowledge sharing.

• Continuously improve tools, practices, and ways of working.

Your skills and experience:
We know great engineers come from different paths. You might bring:

• Experience building modern SaaS or large-scale web applications

• Strong backend engineering skills (Java / Spring Boot)

• Frontend experience with React (or similar frameworks)

• Solid understanding of APIs, databases, and system design

• Experience with testing, CI/CD, and cloud environments (AWS preferred)
