Senior Software Engineer - Experiments

About the Job

Experiments team builds growth engines for Xendit through experimental products. We do this by pushing the frontiers of what is possible in the industry and creating modern solutions to old problems. As part of the Experiments team, you may become part of a team that builds from 0 to 1, from 1 to 1,000, or 1,000 to the moon. It requires flexibility and adaptability to take on new challenges to grow an early-stage product.

To build from the ground up, we take ideas, customer pain points, or gaps in the market, push out an MVP at speed, and iterate to find product-market fit. We're seeking a passionate individual to be a Senior Software Engineer in our Experiments team.

Minimum Qualifications

• > 5 years of software engineering experience in post-A round startups or scale-ups

• Work experience as a Senior Engineer: Demonstrated technical leadership, influence, and autonomy while delivering complex, customer-facing features and leading a team.

• Strong language understanding of NodeJS Typescript, SQL.

• A solid understanding of modern security practices.

• A solid understanding of Postgres

• Experience with unit, integration, and E2E test frameworks

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English

• Experience with Agile development methodologies

• Hands-on technical experience in building and maintaining cloud-based app, using CI/CD platforms, monitoring and logging tools

• Experience with Observability tools (i.e.: Datadog, Splunk)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experienced with data engineering concepts and tools with the ability to provide up-to-date relevant examples of data engineering work done

• Experienced working with a large-scale Backend for Frontend applications

• Experienced with Domain-Driven Design

• Ability to design and architect an API product from scratch

• Strong adoption of AI tooling eg Cursor/Claude Code/etc
