We are seeking to recruit a Backend focused Senior Software Engineer to join one of our Daft.ie development teams. The successful candidate must have a passion for building phenomenal software and will thrive in a fun, fast paced and challenging environment.

You’ll be part of one of our multi-functional delivery teams and work closely with product owners, and like minded software engineers. We encourage everyone for their input and rely on people’s experience to further improve our process and products.

You will be able to work with the latest technologies and help build some of the most well-known and visited websites in the country. You’ll get to use your experience to develop our engineering process, influence decisions when building new features and ensure the scalability and availability of the platforms.

* This is a remote-first position within Ireland.

What will I be doing

Software Engineers at Distilled build the core services to support our different products, websites and apps. We strive to use the best technologies for a job and are continuously upgrading our technology stack.

Here’s just some of the things you’ll work on:

• Take responsibility for defining and delivering the solutions for complex features for the Daft platform

• Work independently and mentor junior team members successfully

• Always strive to ensure our codebase is clean, scalable and secure

• Be an advocate for coding standards within the team

• Keep abreast of new technologies and ways of working. Exploring generative AI opportunities to help build better products faster

• Work with other like minded developers as part of an Agile team.

• Work closely with our product and site reliability teams.
