We are looking for talented engineers to join our expanding platform as a service team. Our team is responsible for building the foundation for cloud-based products, leveraging the diverse features and services available through the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
 
IN THIS ROLE, YOU CAN EXPECT TO…
• Play a key role as a Senior Software Engineer on scrum teams focused on developing a Cloud Platform serving industries such as Financial Services, Retail, and Hospitality.
• Build and expand the services powering our API ecosystem, solving complex problems for a large community of developers.
• Develop large-scale applications using Java (or similar languages), with a focus on high-performance, scalability, and resiliency in a service-oriented environment.
• Write clean, well-tested code using continuous delivery methodologies, including automated testing and deployment, to ensure high-quality and reliable software releases.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Provide technical leadership to other engineers, including mentoring, code reviews, and pair programming.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production systems.
• Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies and recommend new tools and improvements for cloud infrastructure and software development processes.
YOU HAVE…
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience working with relational and/or non-relational databases.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and testing RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• A strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns such as microservices, serverless, and containerization.
• Familiarity with modern frameworks for building high-throughput, high-availability, global microservices.
EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE…
• Experience working on highly available, high-transaction volume, fault-tolerant systems.
• Familiarity with Spring Framework, Node.js, and GCP.
• Experience with cloud-based data storage and processing technologies.
• Participation in public open-source projects.
Salary: USD $104,000 – $156,000 / yr
