Senior Software Engineer - C/C++, Linux/ Unix, Cloud

About the Role

PubMatic is looking for engineers who can design and implement next-generation highly scalable, and low-latency ad server features at a scale of 1 trillion+ requests per day in our AD Server. We'd Love for You to Have

• Four plus years of development experience in C/C++, Linux/UNIX environment.

• Good to have experience with GO language.

• Excellent understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Being able to use generative AI-based tools and IDE for getting work done.

• Understanding of different models at basic level.

• Prompt engineering basics.

• Knowledge of OS and system programming (multi-threading, multi-processing, memory management).

• Troubleshoot any issues with existing features, live on production.

• Ability to write clean, modular, and loosely coupled code.

• Ability to understand end-to-end product functionality.

• Ability to do software design for assigned tasks.

• Working knowledge of scripting Perl/Python/Shell.

• Working experience in databases, preferably MySQL.

• Work closely with senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in AI-assisted coding, automation, prompt engineering, and an understanding of the strengths and limitations of LLM-generated code is a strong plus

Qualifications:

• Should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering (CS / IT) or equivalent degree from well-known Institutes / Universities.
