WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
Box Apps is redefining how enterprises build with content—delivering an intelligent no‑code builder that lets teams automate, orchestrate, and make smarter decisions faster. We’re investing in our Warsaw hub to scale this product globally. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll lead projects from concept to production, elevate engineering standards, and shape our technical direction for a rapidly growing product surface used by thousands of customers.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Lead design and delivery of complex, user‑facing features and platform capabilities across the Box Apps frontend.
• Partner with product, design, and backend teams to define APIs, data contracts, and cohesive end‑to‑end experiences.
• Drive technical specs, architectural reviews, and design docs that balance velocity, quality, and maintainability.
• Champion reliability with comprehensive testing (unit/integration/e2e), performance profiling, and observability.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, design reviews, and actionable feedback; help level up team practices.
• Decompose ambiguous problems, create roadmaps, and deliver iteratively against quarterly goals.
• Contribute to on‑call readiness, incident response, and post‑mortems; drive preventative improvements.
• Influence frontend standards, tooling, and developer experience; contribute to a strong engineering culture in Warsaw.

WHO YOU ARE
• 5+ years of professional experience building and scaling modern web applications.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and at least one modern frontend framework (e.g., React); strong understanding of state management, accessibility, performance, and security basics.
• Proven track record leading end‑to‑end projects and collaborating across functions to ship high‑impact features.
• Strong system design skills for frontend architectures and API integration patterns.
• Proficient with testing strategies and frameworks (Jest, Playwright/WebDriverIO) and CI/CD best practices.
• Excellent communication: can align stakeholders, write clear design docs, and give/receive high‑quality feedback.
• Growth mindset with high ownership, pragmatic decision‑making, and a focus on outcomes.
• English proficiency required.
Additional skills / Nice to have:
• Experience with Node.js and/or Java is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and modern observability tooling.
• Experience with relational and document databases; comfort reading backend code when needed.
• Prior experience in platform/low‑code/no‑code products or building SDKs/design systems.
