Role Overview

As a Senior Java Developer on our TrustX SaaS platform, you will design, build, and improve cloud‑based backend services that power our identity verification and authentication and voice solutions. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, understands end‑to‑end system flows, and collaborates closely with frontend engineers, architects, DevOps, mobile teams, and QA to deliver reliable, performant, secure software. 

We’re looking for strong engineers, not just deep Java specialists. You should be capable of understanding how components interact across the stack, how data flows through the system, and how to make technical decisions that balance performance, scalability, maintainability, and product needs.

You will also be expected to embrace AI‑assisted development, including GitHub Copilot and other modern AI tools, to accelerate coding, improve quality, and help the team work more efficiently.

What you will do:

Backend Development and Collaboration

Design, develop, and maintain backend services built primarily with Java and Spring Boot.

Implement REST APIs, service integrations, data processing pipelines, and backend logic supporting our core platform capabilities.

Write maintainable, testable, and well‑structured code using modern engineering practices.

Collaborate with frontend, mobile, DevOps, architects, and QA to ensure features are delivered holistically and integrate smoothly across the platform.

Understand how backend components interact with UIs, cloud infrastructure, data stores, and external systems.

Participate in design discussions and provide input on architecture, system behavior, performance trade‑offs, and scaling strategies.

Use GitHub Copilot and other AI tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and automate repetitive tasks.

Help establish best practices for responsible, high‑value AI use within the engineering team.

Participate in experimentation and adoption of new AI‑based development workflows.

Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and automated test scenarios in collaboration with QA.

Profile and optimize services for performance, throughput, and scalability.

Contribute to improving observability (metrics, logs, tracing) in coordination with DevOps.

Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

Collaborate with service delivery managers to ensure smooth deployment and production behavior.

Support occasional troubleshooting efforts for complex defects or production issues.

What you have:

5+ years of experience developing backend or full‑stack software, ideally in SaaS environments.

Strong proficiency in Java, with experience in frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.

Ability to understand end‑to‑end system design, data flows, integration points, and how cloud‑native systems behave in production.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Hands‑on experience with Git, build tools (Maven/Gradle), CI/CD pipelines, and modern development practices.

A mindset focused on learning, growth, and continuous improvement, including adoption of AI‑assisted development tools.

Exposure to observability tools (logs, metrics, traces) and performance debugging.

Strong communication and collaboration skills—comfortable working with cross‑functional teams.

Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent real‑world experience.

Nice to Have

Background in identity, authentication, biometrics, cryptography, or fraud prevention.

Experience with telephony, voice biometrics, or multi‑channel communications platforms.
