Why: You’ll lead projects critical to Spotnana’s success, driving innovation across teams and technologies. This role provides opportunities to influence platform architecture, tackle complex technical challenges, and mentor other engineers as our business evolves.

How (to land the job!): Kick off with a conversation with a member of our Talent Acquisition team, complete a take-home technical assessment showcasing your skills, then collaborate live with a panel of engineers and hiring managers. The process may include one or more coding interviews and a system design discussion, and is subject to adjustments.

The day-to-day:

• Design and develop high-quality cloud-native services within the Spotnana platform.

• Contribute to product reliability and customer satisfaction through testing, debugging, and code reviews.

• Collaborate with architects, technical leads, and teammates to drive craftsmanship and innovation.

• Promote strong engineering practices and a supportive, healthy team culture.

• Share knowledge and mentor others to help grow engineering talent across the team.

Skills & qualities we value:

• 4+ years of software development experience in products or SaaS, with strong skills in data structures and algorithms (Java preferred, but other languages welcome).

• Background in backend distributed systems and cloud-native development, including building frameworks and designing scalable APIs.

• Experience with software design, architecture, and working on cross-functional or multi-team projects.

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers.

The base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000 per year.
