About The Job 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior software developer to join our dynamic team. The candidate should have a passion for building high-performance, scalable, and reliable backend systems and someone who excels at engineering design and review, from building new systems to providing great code reviews. 

 In this role, you work closely with designers and product managers on a fast-moving team and need to thrive in a diverse, cross-functional team, collaborating with people throughout the company. If you love solving problems and creating great experiences for users, this may be a great fit. 

 

Strong communication inside and outside of engineering is critical, working closely with customers and the product and operations teams to translate customer requirements into code. 

 

What You’ll Do 

• Design and develop microservices that can work in a large-scale multi-tenant environment. 

• Explore design implications and work towards appropriate balance between functionality, performance, and maintainability. 

• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic 

• Write modular, extensible, readable and performant code 

• Take ownership from ideation phase to deployment and maintenance 

• Deploy and maintain the application in a secured AWS environment 

• Actively participate in the hiring process to bring world-class programmers in the team

Requirements 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related field. 

• 3+ years of experience in backend development 

• Strong proficiency in at least one or more object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, or NodeJS. 

• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns. 

• Expertise in designing and implementing scalable and reliable systems 

• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB 

• Familiarity with message brokers, such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS 

• Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes 

• Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP 

• Experience with microservices architecture and related technologies 

• Solid understanding of with distributed systems and service-oriented architecture 

• Hands on experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins, Git, and Terraform 

 

Preferred qualifications: 

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development best practices such as code reviews, unit testing, CI & CD 

• Strong open-source contributions or participation in relevant technical communities
