Sr Software Engineer AuthN / AuthZ (80-100% Zurich Hybrid)

Your Mission

We are seeking for a highly motivated and talented Software Engineer person to join our growing AuthN / AuthZ team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key driver in enhancing our identity and access management platform. Your responsibilities will include:

Identity Provider: You will help us to design, develop and operate a highly scalable identity provider solution

Access Management: Migrating our old-fashined permissions model into a modern ReBAC-based solution.

Leading Cross-Team Projects: Take ownership of complex platform projects. This includes defining scope, managing dependencies, and communicating progress to successful completion

Structured Problem-Solving: Tackle difficult architectural and operational challenges with a structured and methodical approach.

This position will give you the opportunity to drive midsize to large projects, right from the concept phase all the way through to production deployment and operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements to the AuthN / AuthZ platform infrastructure.

Your Qualifications

As a successful candidate you will bring 4+ years of experience in a similar position to the table with a proven record in building scalable and resilient distributed systems using modern cloud technologies.

Required skills and qualifications:

Practical knowledge of Golang

Experience with container orchestration and automation in cloud architectures (Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform)

Experience with modern observability principles, stacks and tools like Prometheus / Thanos, Alert manager, Grafana

Experience in cloud environments such as Azure, GCP AWS or equivalent

Fluent in English, German or French would be an advantage

Bonus skills and qualifications:

Knowledge of SCIM

Hands-on experience building REST APIs

Experience with modern authentication mechanisms and protocols (OAuth2, OIDC)

Hands-on experience with authorization models such as RBAC, ABAC and especially ReBAC
