Senior Software Engineer – AI Agents (all people) | hybrid or remote

Job description:
As a Senior Software Engineer – AI Agents, you’ll build automation systems for customer projects, working end-to-end from architecture and infrastructure to integrations in live client environments. This is a broad role by design: you’ll take ownership across layers, drive technical direction, and deliver systems that scale and create measurable customer impact.• Design AI infrastructure for client deployments: You own the architecture for LLM-powered automation like microservices, orchestration layers, and data pipelines that process millions of documents.
• Configure and optimize customer-specific AI systems: You set up and tune LLMs, embeddings, multi-modal models and apply prompting strategies, retrieval, and fine-tuning.
• Extend automation reach: You use scripting, desktop automation, or RPA-style tooling to integrate with systems that lack modern APIs.
• Deliver end-to-end: You translate ambiguous requirements into production-ready systems with minimal guidance and work directly with stakeholders to understand needs, design solutions, implement robust code, and ensure smooth deployment.
• Shape technical direction: You prototype new approaches, evaluate emerging technologies, and make independent calls on architecture and implementation that influence both customer projects and our platform.
• Thrive in a strong team: You collaborate with engineers, project managers and customer teams who value technical excellence, rapid execution, and visible impact.

Qualifications:
• You are an experienced software engineer with 5+ years experience in data-intensive, AI-centric product development.
• You are high-agency, taking initiative and driving projects forward with ownership while collaborating closely with teammates and stakeholders.
• You have a strong background in Python and a track record of building clean, maintainable systems.
• You are knowledgeable about infrastructure for sensitive customer data and understand GDPR compliance requirements.
• You are hands-on with Large Language Models (fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and daily work with GPT/Claude/Gemini).
• You are familiar with Vertex AI, Bedrock, or containerized ML infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker).
• You are a problem solver and communicator, capable of engaging directly with clients and translating business needs into technical solutions.

Bonus Points• You have experience applying Robot Process Automation tools in combination with Gen AI to extend AI-based automation beyond APIs.
• You are proficient with Infrastructure as Code on AWS.
