Senior Software Development Engineer - Web (Ads)

Job Summary: As a Senior Engineer within the Ads Platform, you will be responsible for building the sophisticated systems that power JioHotstar’s multi-crore advertising business. Unlike consumer-facing apps, your challenge lies in building high-performance, data-rich interfaces for advertisers, sales teams, and ops managers to create, manage, and optimize complex ad campaigns and adsets at scale. You will bridge the gap between complex backend ad-logic and a seamless, intuitive operational workflow.

Key responsibilities::
• End-to-End Ownership: Lead the design and implementation of complex workflows for campaign creation, adset configuration, and real-time performance monitoring.
• B2B UX Excellence: Translate complex business requirements into high-density, performant web interfaces that make "heavy lifting" feel effortless for power users.
• System Integration: Collaborate with backend and data teams to ensure frontend systems accurately reflect real-time inventory, pricing, and delivery metrics.
• Tooling & Automation: Build internal tools that automate manual ops tasks, reducing "time-to-live" for new ad campaigns.
• Performance & Scale: Ensure the web platform remains responsive even when handling massive data tables, complex filtering, and bulk-edit operations.
• Mentorship: Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of "operational excellence" where a bug in an internal tool could mean significant revenue impact.

Skills and attributes for success::
• Strong experience in the JavaScript language.
• Deep knowledge about how browsers work
• Deep understanding about design & architecture patterns
• Highly enthusiastic and enjoy learning new technologies and frameworks
• You know why a framework is necessary and know React or Next.
• Open source contribution is good to have
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools Git
• Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Grunt or Gulp
