Senior Software Development Engineer

Location Details: Colombia, remote.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

When GoDaddy's current and potential customers are considering a new venture, we (search engine result page aka SERP, one of the biggest revenue generators in GoDaddy) welcome them on their journey by starting with a name. This role is hands-on and requires leading through example by delivering well-factored, well-tested, and reusable code that will last and adapt to changing needs. We partner with other GoDaddy teams to launch customer-benefitting experiences. On the Search Results team, we make it easier and more intuitive for customers to find the right domain name and products/services for their idea.

What you'll get to do...

• Write efficient, maintainable TypeScript code with comprehensive unit and integration test coverage.

• Participate in planning, architecting, implementing, and maintaining both client-side and server-side codebases.

• Conduct peer code reviews, establish high coding standards, and continuously improve overall codebase quality.

• Take full ownership of deliverables by releasing high-quality code that minimizes DevOps incidents and on-call burden.

• Contribute to open-source projects, mentor junior developers through coaching and pair programming, and foster a culture of experimentation and knowledge sharing.

Your experience should include...

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong understanding of the fundamentals of core web technologies: Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript (ES2015+), CSS3, and HTML5.

• Experience with a modern JS/front-end framework like React or Angular.

• Experience with DevOps and understanding what deployment means using systems like GitHub actions, webpack, Docker, AWS, and Artifactory.

You might also have...

• Experience with client and server performance (RUM) profiling and optimization.

• Experience with vibe coding by using a tool like Cursor AI.

• Experience managing or contributing to open source is a plus.

• Experience with experimentation systems such as A/B or multivariate testing.
