The Opportunity 

You will join the Adobe Express team in Bucharest, where you will develop the next generation of design tools,  alongside skilled and passionate engineers.  

You’ll join an independent, fast-moving team backed by the resources and talent of Adobe. We’re fun, hard-working, experienced engineers that are equally capable of giving and receiving technical guidance. 
The team is contributing to the next generation of creative tools, fully web based and developed using the latest technologies like WebAssembly or WebGPU. Multiple programming languages like Javascript, Typescript and C++ are used to deliver great functionalities consumed by a large number of customers on web and mobile platforms. 

What you will do 

The ideal candidate will embrace a highly collaborative team that rewards quality code and effective communication. Your core responsibilities will be to: 

• Develop high-performance, reliable, testable and maintainable code 

• Provide guidance in architecture, design & code reviews 

• Partner with people in other roles (Product Management, Design, etc.) to create amazing products 

• Mentor other members of the team 

• Work closely with teams across Adobe, in different geographies 

• Contribute to and promote good software engineering practices across the team 

What you need to succeed 

• At least 5 years of practical experience developing products 

• Strong computer science background (data structures, algorithms).  

• Fluent in at least one OOP programming language (experience with C++ and / or  Typescript is a big plus) 

• Very good knowledge of OOP and design patterns 

• Knowledge of web technologies and standards 

• Familiarity with 2D graphics paradigms 

• Experience with Agile development processes 

• Committed to the highest levels of quality, experienced on test automation (Unit testing, Integration testing) 

• A sharp eye for security related issues and performance bottlenecks 

• Proficiency in English, both writing and speaking
