Job Description
You'll join the central Security Tools team, a specialized group developing security testing capabilities used across multiple Siemens business units. Your work will be essential to automate and scale security testing throughout the organization, ensuring that Siemens products and solutions meet the highest protection standards.
Challenges that await
You work in the central Security Tools Team for Siemens products, solutions, and OT infrastructure, contributing to security testing capabilities used across Siemens business units.
You design and develop tools and frameworks for automated security tests and build new concepts to automate the use of security tools, e.g. by integrating them into the Siemens‑internal testing framework “SiESTA”, with a focus on reusability and scalability.
You enhance existing security testing features by migrating to newer technologies and establishing sustainable testing and quality assurance workflows, as well as maintaining security testing infrastructure.
You cooperate with security experts, system testers, and developers from Siemens business units and conduct projects to introduce and roll out new security testing capabilities at scale.
You evaluate security tools regarding their possible use at Siemens in the areas of e.g. vulnerability scanning, robustness tests, protocol / fuzzing tests, and web application security, considering technical, organizational, and integration aspects.
You engage with external partners and continuously update your expert knowledge through specialized trainings and hands‑on technical challenges.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
University degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or related fields. Relevant cybersecurity certifications are a plus.
5+ years experience in software development, including Python3, Git, and Docker, in a professional or industrial environment.
Proven experience in requirements engineering, software architecture, quality assurance, or continuous integration (GitLab and/or GitHub) within collaborative development teams.
Professional experience within the field of IT‑Security, especially security tools. Experience with DAST or similar dynamic testing approaches is beneficial.
Excellent knowledge of information technologies, operating systems (Linux and Windows), and virtualization technologies used in development and testing environments.
Willingness to build and deepen knowledge of technical and organizational aspects of information security in IT and OT environments.
Proficiency in written and spoken English, combined with good interpersonal skills, a structured working style, and attention to detail.
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast‑paced, evolving technical environment.
