Senior Software Developement Engineer in Test (SDET), Mexico City

The Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test ) will play a critical role on testing applications in an automated fashion for Lab49 clients. Working in a collaborative and innovative project team, with direct client-facing interactions, you will have an opportunity to apply your skills and expertise to create automated testing capabilities for applications that solve business problems and enhance performance for the clients.

Key Responsibilities::
• Designing and building advanced testing capabilities for applications across platforms, while understanding our products from both a technical and business perspective
• Communicating with leadership, product owners, other technologists and users to create working testing software based on an understanding of business and technical priorities
• Building scalable Test Automation Framework utilizing industry leading tools like Playwright, Robot Framework
• Working with data sources and APIs and build a solid Test Data Management Strategy and utilities
• Assisting development teams in improving testing efficiency and identifying non-compliance with requirements, including edge cases, usability and general reliability
• Working with development engineers to track down defects and enable the shift left test strategies.
• Actively contribute to improving software prior to distribution to Lab49 clients
• Advocating test-driven development and behavior driven test automation and deliver high quality testing capabilities

Required Skills and Experience::
• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on automated testing experience is mandatory
• Hands-on experience with Playwright is mandatory
• Hands-on coding experience in JavaScript is mandatory for building automated test suites
• Experience working with REST API for building backend automated suites
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Working knowledge of the general development landscape, architectures, trends and emerging technologies
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills and Experience::
• Hands-on coding experience in Java
• Hands-on experience with React Testing Library and Vitest
• Hands-on experience with Robot Framework
