About the Role

As a Sr. Associate Snowflake Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data solutions on the Snowflake Data Cloud. You will play a key role across data development, performance optimization, and pipeline integration, working closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Architects to deliver high-quality, secure, and efficient data platforms.

On a day-to-day basis, you will contribute to the full data lifecycle — from ingestion and modeling to optimization and operational excellence — ensuring data solutions meet business, performance, and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Snowflake Development

• Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake objects including warehouses, databases, schemas, tables, views, stages, file formats, tasks, and streams

• Build and manage Snowflake pipelines, including Snowpipe, ingestion processes, and continuous data flows

• Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and follow data security best practices

SQL Development & Performance Optimization

• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries

• Improve query performance through clustering, caching, pruning, and warehouse optimization strategies

• Tune ETL/ELT workloads and Snowflake compute resources for efficiency and scalability

Data Modeling & Validation

• Design scalable conceptual, logical, and physical data models

• Apply dimensional modeling techniques (Star and Snowflake schemas)

• Ensure data quality through validation, profiling, reconciliation, and monitoring

Cloud ETL / ELT Integration

• Use at least one cloud ETL/ELT platform (e.g., Informatica Cloud, Matillion, ADF, Talend, DBT, AWS Glue) to ingest and transform data from multiple sources

• Manage automated workflows, pipelines, and scheduling processes

Architecture & Collaboration

• Apply data architecture principles across data lakes, warehouses, ingestion patterns, and transformation frameworks

• Contribute to architectural discussions and recommend Snowflake best practices and improvements

• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Architects to deliver end-to-end data solutions

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have

• Strong hands-on experience developing on Snowflake Data Cloud

• Advanced SQL development and optimization skills

• Proven experience with performance tuning and cost optimization

• Solid background in data modeling and data validation

• Experience working with one or more cloud ETL/ELT tools

• Familiarity with Snowflake features such as Time Travel, Cloning, Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, and Resource Monitors

• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to data architecture and design principles

• Experience with DBT or similar transformation frameworks

• Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Git)

• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or ADF pipelines
