Overview:
Mastercard Processing is an issuing processor headquartered in Warsaw, Poland and operating in 32 European markets. We offer comprehensive payment solutions that empower customers to launch payment products with efficiency, scalability, and speed to market. Our flexible solution leverages powerful APIs for platform integration, focusing on digital use cases to enable instant issuance of virtual cards and more. Our services leverage state-of-the art security at the forefront and allow access to the latest technologies.

Role:
The Senior BizOps Engineer will be responsible for operational support, performance optimization, and continuous improvement of Oracle‑based Data Warehouse solutions. This role requires strong SQL expertise, solid understanding of Oracle database architecture, and the ability to identify and resolve performance and reliability issues in complex database environments.

Responsibilities:
- Support and operate Oracle‑based Data Warehouse platforms ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability
- Optimize and tune SQL / PL/SQL queries to support large‑scale analytical workloads
- Identify and resolve database and platform performance issues in production environments
- Participate across the full service lifecycle — from design and deployment to operation and continuous improvement
- Support new services before launch through design reviews, capacity planning, and readiness assessments
- Monitor live systems to ensure availability, latency, and overall system health
- Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive long‑term improvements
- Create and maintain operational and production documentation
- Drive automation and standardization of operational and support activities
- Collaborate with development, data, and product teams to improve platform quality and resilience
- Work with a global, distributed team across multiple time zones
- Balance technical decision‑making with business impact and customer experience

Required Skills & Experience:
Very good knowledge of:
- SQL and PL/SQL
- SQL query optimization and performance tuning

Good knowledge of:
- Oracle database architecture
- Basics of Oracle database administration
- Identification and analysis of performance issues in Oracle database environments

Nice to have:
- Knowledge of OLAP systems
- Experience with database schema and data model design
- Understanding of ETL processes
- Experience with Oracle Analytics Publisher
- Basic knowledge of Oracle WebLogic
- Experience with Alteryx (data preparation, analytics, or workflow automation)
