We’re seeking a Software Engineer with deep Shopify expertise to lead the development of high-performance storefronts. You’ll architect and deliver fast, accessible, and high-converting online experiences for global markets.

What You’ll Do

Build and maintain Shopify themes, templates, and sections/blocks using Liquid, HTML/CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

Extend Shopify with Functions, Checkout Extensibility, APIs, and custom/private app integrations.

Optimize site performance, Core Web Vitals, and SEO.

Configure Shopify Markets for international domains, currencies, and translations.

Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and performance monitoring.

Deliver accessible, WCAG-compliant experiences.

Collaborate with design, content, and growth teams, mentoring other engineers.

Monitor production performance and user funnels to drive continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications

5–8+ years of professional web development experience; 3+ years focused on Shopify and Liquid.

Expert in Liquid, Online Store 2.0 architecture, metafields, and theme app extensions.

Strong front-end development with HTML/CSS/SCSS and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.

Hands-on experience with Shopify APIs, webhooks, and app integrations.

Proven record of improving site performance and conversion at scale.

Experience with Git/GitHub workflows and CI/CD automation.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with headless Shopify (Hydrogen/Remix or Next.js) and edge rendering.

Proficiency in React, Node.js, serverless environments (Cloudflare/AWS), and GraphQL.

Familiarity with A/B testing, payments, subscriptions, and ERP/PIM integrations.

Experience building custom/private Shopify apps and managing secure keys.
