We are looking for a Senior Shopify Engineer to join Valtech and work on enterprise-level commerce solutions for global brands.

At Valtech, we design and build scalable, high-performance digital commerce platforms at the intersection of technology, creativity, data, and experience design.

The ideal candidate’s skills include:

• 5 years of professional Full-Stack experience and hands-on experience with Shopify & Shopify Plus platform

• Strong proficiency in React

• Experience with Redux

• Strong experience with Liquid, modern JavaScript, and storefront customization

• Experience building custom Shopify apps or middleware solutions (Node.js, Remix or similar)

• Strong understanding of theme architecture vs custom app vs third-party integrations

• Solid knowledge of REST and GraphQL integrations with external systems (ERP, CRM, OMS, PIM)

• Familiarity with Shopify CLI, CI/CD pipelines, and advanced Git workflows

• Understanding of performance optimization and security best practices for high-traffic stores

• Solid understanding of responsive design and SEO principles

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical decisions clearly

• Upper-intermediate or advanced level of English

The Role

As a Senior Shopify Engineer, you will be a technical contributor in designing and delivering enterprise commerce solutions. You will work closely with Architects, Product Managers, and other Engineers to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.

Role responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality, high-performance Shopify solutions following best practices

• Implement full-stack solutions within Shopify ecosystems

• Participate in story refinement, estimation, and requirements analysis

• Deliver features according to user stories and technical specifications

• Contribute to technical documentation and maintainable deliverables

• Follow Agile/Scrum processes and actively participate in ceremonies

• Apply secure development practices and adhere to established standards

• Identify and improve issues related to code quality, performance, and technical implementation
