Senior Sever Side Software Engineer – Healthcare IT

Job Description:
Our client does the bulk of current development work using ReactJS, Node.js and MongoDB. They are also some Java components of the software and an open, standards based technology platform for integrating with EMRs called SMART on FHIR.The IDE consists of collaborative code review, test driven development with continuous integration/testing/builds, unit testing and automated testing.

This is a software engineering position for someone that likes to focus on server-side technologies working with a well thought-out architecture using solid open source frameworks utilizing strong expertise of Node.js.

Responsibilities:

• Designs and codes well designed, reusable, superior technical solutions and participate and contribute to the design and specification of new features.
• Review production work of team and recognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions and provide suggestions for improving our development processes and environment.
•  Help team members improve their skills by sharing your knowledge.
• Understands complex database concepts as well as the implications of different database designs.
• Expert level skills in the usage of JSON and REST APIs.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in object-oriented programming developing large-scale enterprise systems
• 3+ years of experience with Node.js
• A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts.
• Experience in a continuous integration environment a big plus.
• Motivated self-starter, able to take ownership & drive results.
• Expert knowledge of data structures.
• Expert knowledge of maintaining and debugging live software systems.
• Experience with Scrum methodology and Agile practices.

Desirable Qualifications:

• ReactJS experience desirable
• MongoDB experience desirable
• HealthCare IT experience a plus
