This role will be instrumental in assisting and empowering ClickUp, a cutting-edge productivity platform, to thrive and provide top-notch solutions. While your expertise will be utilized by ClickUp, Deel will serve as your Employer of Record in India. We are looking for an insight driven SEO practitioner who is working at the forefront of the AI Search (AEO) era. You will bring strong fundamentals, but this is not a traditional SEO role. The landscape has shifted, and this position focuses on shaping our strategy, experiments, and insights across modern discovery systems. Our goal is to lead in AI visibility and set the standard for how brands show up across these surfaces, supported by real buy-in to invest, experiment, and move quickly.

You will play a critical role in building how we assess and improve performance across modern surfaces such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, and emerging answer engines. You will be invested in understanding how these systems see ClickUp and in translating those findings into focused tactics, well scoped experiments, and repeatable workflows that support real growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate trends in AI search and LLM behavior and build clear points of view on which shifts matter most for ClickUp.

• Analyze how ClickUp appears across platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI Overviews and highlight the opportunities and surfaces that deserve focus.

• Turn patterns and gaps from AI and search data into clear recommendations, and ship work that improves brand visibility and accuracy.

• Partner with teams such as Content, Community, and the Center of Excellence to show how their work influences answer engines and to support initiatives that serve shared goals.

• Strengthen our site structure, technical health, and content organization so that answer engines interpret our information clearly and consistently.

• Use AI workflow tools to refine structured content outputs so they are accurate, clear, and aligned with how LLMs interpret information, and apply judgment on what to refine or rebuild.

• Challenge assumptions and traditional best practices to surface better tactics for influencing how answer engines interpret ClickUp.

• Help build the systems, tracking methods, and recurring processes that allow us to monitor AI visibility at scale and respond quickly to shifts.

What you’ll need

• 5+ years in a dedicated SEO role with ownership over both strategy and execution (B2B/B2C SaaS preferred).

• A proven track record of launching SEO experiments, taking informed risks, and adapting quickly.

• An understanding of how AI driven discovery works and experience reviewing platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI Overviews to understand how they interpret brands and content.

• Experience with AI visibility tracking tools such as Profound, Peec, Brand Radar, Scrunch, or similar platforms used to measure brand presence across answer engines.

• Ability to cut through the noise around AI search, separate real signals from hype, and communicate what truly matters in a clear, practical, and authentic way to key stakeholders.

• An experimental mindset. You make clear bets, run tests, and track the outcomes.

• Comfort using AI tools to generate and refine content, and the ability to judge when outputs are usable, improvable, or need to be rebuilt.

• Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize for impact, manage multiple initiatives, and operate autonomously.

• A drive to learn, adapt, and stay ahead of industry shifts.

• Experience with workflow automation tools such as Make, n8n, or AirOps is a plus.

• Experience improving or managing content across multiple languages or regions is a plus.
