We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable A/AS Level Chemistry Teacher to deliver high-quality education aligned with the Cambridge International curriculum. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching Chemistry to senior grade students, focusing on building strong conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and exam readiness. You will create an engaging classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs while preparing students for Cambridge board examinations. The role involves close collaboration with academic teams, active participation in curriculum development, and continuous assessment of student progress. Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons for AS & A Level students in line with Cambridge curriculum standards
• Prepare students for board examinations, including theory, structured papers, and practical understanding
• Design lesson plans that emphasize conceptual clarity, application-based learning, and critical thinking
• Support students with internal assessments and provide effective exam preparation strategies
• Use differentiated teaching approaches to address varied learning styles and abilities
• Assess student performance through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback
• Integrate digital tools, simulations, and LMS platforms to enhance learning experiences
• Participate in curriculum planning, academic discussions, and school activities
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and academic coordinators
• Foster a positive and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning
What Makes You a Great Fit
• Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred)
• 2–5 years of experience teaching IGCSE, AS, or A Level Chemistry
• Strong understanding of Cambridge curriculum and assessment patterns
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to engage students and simplify complex scientific concepts
• Experience using technology and digital tools in teaching
• Strong assessment and evaluation skills with attention to student progress
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with academic teams
• Exposure to international school environments or inquiry-based learning approaches (preferred)
