Job Description
Who We Are:
At Emburse, you’ll not just imagine the future – you’ll build it. As a leader in travel and expense solutions, we are creating a future where technology drives business value and inspires extraordinary results. Our AI-powered platform helps organizations modernize financial operations, increase visibility, and optimize spend across the enterprise.
Emburse is seeking a Senior Salesforce CPQ Administrator to serve as the primary owner of our Quote-to-Contract ecosystem. In this role, you aren’t just a "behind-the-scenes" builder; you are a strategic partner to our GTM teams, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of our quoting, pricing, and approval workflows.
Whether you identify as a Revenue Systems Administrator, a Quote-to-Cash Specialist, or a CPQ Expert, we are looking for a professional who can blend deep technical expertise with a consultative, client-facing approach. If you thrive in a fast-moving SaaS environment and enjoy translating complex business requests into scalable, declarative solutions, we want to hear from you.
What You WIll Do:
•
Primary Ownership: Serve as the lead administrator for Salesforce CPQ, overseeing day-to-day quoting, pricing, approvals, renewals, and amendments.
•
Declarative Configuration: Own the configuration of products, SKUs, bundles, price books, discount schedules, and quote templates using a configuration-first approach.
•
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key partner to RevOps, Sales, Renewals, Finance, and Product Operations to ensure CPQ processes meet business needs and remain operationally sustainable.
•
Tier 2 & 3 Support: Triage and resolve CPQ-related issues, including quote errors, pricing discrepancies, and document generation problems.
•
Systems Integration: Support process dependencies across the Salesforce ecosystem and adjacent platforms like DocuSign, BillingPlatform, NetSuite, and Marketo.
• Enablement & Training: Act as a client-facing resource by providing end-user guidance and training on quoting workflows and CPQ best practices.
• Documentation: Maintain clear admin procedures, support runbooks, and configuration records to support platform scale and continuity.
What You WIll Bring :
•
Extensive Experience: 8+ years of experience in Salesforce or business systems administration, with at least 4+ years specifically dedicated to hands-on Salesforce CPQ administration.
•
Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in Salesforce declarative tools (Flows, validation rules, permission sets) and core CPQ metadata.
•
Process Expertise: A deep understanding of Quote-to-Contract or Quote-to-Cash processes within a subscription-based SaaS environment.
•
Certifications: Active Salesforce Administrator certification is required. A Salesforce CPQ Specialist or related revenue-platform certification is strongly preferred.
•
Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to diagnose complex quote and workflow issues quickly and accurately.
•
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Who You Are :
•
An Independent Owner: You take high-degree ownership of your work and use sound judgment to assess business impact and urgency.
•
A Scalable Architect: You prefer declarative solutions whenever possible and know exactly when to escalate complex needs to developers or architects.
•
A Consultative Communicator: You are comfortable working directly with sales stakeholders, translating technical jargon into clear business value.
•
Operationally Aware: You understand how a single configuration change in CPQ affects downstream billing, contracting, and renewals.
•
Disciplined & Detailed: You believe that a project isn't finished until the documentation is clear and the release is validated.
