MET Turkey Enerji Ticaret A.Ş. is a 100% subsidiary of the Switzerland based MET Holding AG which is one of the leading commodity energy companies in the CEE and Mediterranean region. MET Turkey’s main objective is to be a pioneer player in natural gas and power supply and trading in Turkey and to provide services to our clients by leveraging on the European energy expertise of the MET Group.

 

The selected candidate will lead the development and expansion of the business across all market segments. Responsibilities include acquiring and managing a diversified client portfolio, leading sales team, driving origination activities.

The candidate will proactively identify and analyze business opportunities, engage new clients, and collaborate closely with local portfolio management and central trading teams to design and deliver customized energy solutions tailored to the Turkish market.

Main responsibilities:

• Establish and lead electricity sales activities to drive business growth in Turkey, ensuring alignment with the local entity's risk management framework
• Manage sales activities with new customers and by building a profitable client portfolio, while ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty
• Actively engage in the field to identify opportunities, initiate client contacts, and drive the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals
• Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities, ranging from commodity sales to potential asset investments
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement customized energy solutions for clients
• Develop and present regular reports on business activities and progress

• +5 years of sales experience in the energy industry, experience in the natural gas industry is a plus
• Proven track record of driving business development in competitive markets
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team
• Familiarity with digital tools and sales automation to enhance efficiency and client engagement
• A proactive mindset with a passion for creating and shaping new opportunities
• Business proficiency in English
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in energy, finance, economics, or mathematics
• Independence in work organization, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, precision, attention to detail, and a proactive approach
