Senior Safety Officer

In this role, you will take on a key responsibility in leading workplace health and safety initiatives across our sites, ensuring compliance with occupational safety standards while promoting a strong culture of safety and risk prevention throughout the organization.

What you’ll do

• Lead the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs across all sites

• Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

• Develop and implement safety initiatives, preventive measures, and corrective action plans to strengthen workplace safety performance

• Facilitate safety orientations, emergency preparedness activities, fire drills, earthquake drills, and health and safety training sessions

• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-miss cases, and recommend preventive and corrective actions

• Monitor compliance with company policies and government regulations including DOLE, BWC, BFP, PEZA, and DENR requirements

• Maintain accurate safety documentation, audit reports, incident records, and regulatory reportorial submissions

• Serve as Secretary to the Safety and Health Committee and provide recommendations on safety-related matters

• Respond to employee safety concerns and workplace emergencies in a timely and professional manner

• Collaborate with HR and Admin teams in supporting day-to-day site and workplace administration initiatives

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to promote a safe, compliant, and productive working environment

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or any related field

• Certified Safety Officer 3 (SO3) in accordance with DOLE requirements

• Additional certifications such as BOSH, LCM, HIRAC, and TOT are highly preferred

• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in occupational safety and health

• Strong knowledge of Philippine OSH regulations, safety compliance standards, and government reportorial requirements

• Experience in conducting workplace inspections, incident investigations, safety audits, and risk assessments

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to train, guide, and influence employees on workplace safety practices

• High attention to detail with strong documentation and organizational skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems

• Experience in BPO, shared services, or corporate environments is an advantage
