Senior Safety Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to join our team for a major port project in Kuwait. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all safety aspects of the project.

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs for the port construction project
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for all project phases
• Review and approve safety plans, procedures, and design documents
• Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to integrate safety into all project aspects
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the construction site
• Provide safety training and education to project personnel and contractors
• Stay updated on local and international maritime safety regulations and ensure project compliance
• Prepare and present safety performance reports to senior management and clients

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in safety engineering, with a focus on large-scale construction projects
• Proven experience in port construction projects and familiarity with maritime safety regulations
• Strong knowledge of international safety standards for port facilities and construction
• Proficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety training methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to influence safety culture across all project levels
• Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office suite
