Senior Risk Analyst - Payment Gateway

About the Role

As a Senior Risk Analyst for Payment Gateway, you’ll play a key role in identifying potential fraud risks and developing effective mitigation strategies as our business continues to grow. You’ll work with data to spot patterns, build and refine risk rules, and recommend action plans that help keep our risk metrics on target while supporting healthy business expansion.

What You Will Do:
• Key fraud analyst to the business teams for the payment gateway business line
• Conducting deep dives, sampling and analysis on risk related issues
• Build comprehensive risk metrics monitoring and closely monitor of risk metrics, underlying drivers - and the overall business metrics
• Assess, validate and optimize risk rules and requirements - to ensure best outcome of risk/reward and to meet stated risk target metrics
• Develop risk platform solutions that will balance the various requirements from the product lines but yet maintain a holistic view of the customer experience
• Proactively builds trust-based relationships with stakeholders while maintaining the ability to remain objective

What You Will Need:
• 3+ years of related payment risk experience, preferably on the payment gateway and switcher covering payment gateway process, credit card payment risk and e-money payment risk is a plus
• Able to identify problem, assess issues and recommend solutions both at the strategic and tactical levels - balancing the business vision and practical implementation considerations
• Intermediate proficiency in SQL and cloud-based data platform such as Google BigQuery or MaxCompute
• Hands-on experience in data processing and business intelligence tools (ie. Google Sheets/Excel, Quick BI, Google Looker, Metabase, etc) for trend analysis and insight generation to support business decision-making.
• Strong understanding of risk solutions, advanced fraud detection solutions, product implementation - on the business side
• Experience developing risk policy with risk-based approach
• Experience of working with operations, software engineering, business, product, compliance, and data functions
• Ability to create prioritisation and track progress
