Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Founding Researcher based in Stockholm. The Founding Researcher will play a critical role in conceptualizing, leading, and executing advanced research initiatives in AI-driven security. Responsibilities include formulating novel research questions, designing experiments, developing and validating AI algorithms for security applications, collaborating across disciplines, and advancing the state-of-the-art in autonomous security systems. The Founding Researcher will also contribute to the technical vision, publish in top conferences/journals, and help shape the research culture of CYBRET AI.

Qualifications

• Proven research background in AI, machine learning, or related fields, with strong publication record or demonstrable research impact

• Proficiency in research-level programming with languages such as Python, C++, or Java

• Familiarity with AI and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)

• Deep understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including threat modeling, detection, and prevention methodologies

• Experience in designing or implementing security systems and algorithms

• Knowledge of cloud computing and scalable distributed architectures is a plus

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

• Ability to collaborate in a dynamic, innovative startup environment

• PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, or related field; advanced degree preferred

• Experience mentoring or leading research teams is a significant advantage
