We are seeking a commercially minded and highly organised Senior Researcher – Executive Search to support the delivery of retained search assignments across a range of specialist markets. Working closely with Partners and business development leaders, you will play a central role in the end-to-end executive search process, from assignment briefing and market mapping through to shortlist development and offer management support. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver multiple retained executive search assignments across specialist sectors.

• Partner with senior stakeholders to prepare key search documentation, including client briefs, role profiles, and candidate screeners.

• Conduct detailed market mapping, identifying target companies, competitor landscapes, and relevant talent pools.

• Build high-quality longlists by identifying and approaching senior-level candidates through research, networking, and direct outreach.

• Engage and assess candidates through structured, competency-based interviews.

• Develop strong shortlists aligned with client requirements, leadership competencies, and cultural fit.

• Produce high-quality candidate reports, search updates, and market insight documentation.

• Maintain accurate records within internal systems and ensure compliance with search processes.

• Coordinate interviews and manage communication between candidates and clients.

• Support offer management and ensure a seamless, high-touch candidate experience.

• Gather and share market intelligence to support ongoing business development and sector expertise.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of search methodologies and delivery standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in executive search, retained recruitment, or senior-level talent delivery.

• Proven ability to generate longlists and shortlists for complex roles.

• Experience conducting candidate assessments or competency-based interviews.

• Strong research and market mapping capability across specialised industries.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders.
