Required Skills
Job Description
Senior Reliability Engineering Manager (Corporate – Multi-Site Manufacturing)
Location: Bridgeville, PA (Corporate HQ)
Travel: ~1 day per week to U.S. manufacturing sites
Schedule: Full-time, onsite (corporate)
Compensation: $120,000–$140,000 base + full benefits
Team Size: 3 direct reports, 6 indirect; ~50-person maintenance/reliability org influence
About the Role
We are seeking a senior-level Reliability Engineering leader to drive the rollout of a company-wide Asset Reliability Management Program (ARMP) across four heavy industrial manufacturing facilities. This is a corporate leadership role, not a plant-based maintenance position. You will not be turning wrenches day-to-day. Instead, you will design reliability strategy, standardize preventive maintenance practices, lead cross-site reliability initiatives, and build a high-performing maintenance culture across legacy manufacturing environments.
This role is ideal for an experienced reliability or maintenance engineering leader who has worked in steel mills, specialty metals manufacturing, or legacy heavy industrial plants and understands how to modernize maintenance programs on older equipment and infrastructure.
What You’ll Own
Reliability Strategy & Program Leadership
• Lead the implementation of a corporate Asset Reliability Management Program (ARMP) across multiple manufacturing sites
• Define and standardize preventive maintenance, outage planning, RCA, and autonomous maintenance practices
• Establish reliability KPIs and governance across plants
• Partner with plant leadership to drive culture change around reliability, uptime, and maintenance excellence
Multi-Site Leadership
• Lead and mentor 3 site-based Preventive Maintenance Engineers and influence a broader ~50-person maintenance and reliability organization
• Act as a peer to Project Engineers and plant engineering leaders
• Travel approximately one day per week to support site teams, review reliability programs, and ensure consistency of execution
Performance, Standards & Continuous Improvement
• Build and track maintenance and reliability KPIs
• Identify performance gaps across plants and replicate best practices
• Develop and maintain corporate maintenance and reliability standards
• Drive cross-site improvement initiatives focused on uptime, safety, and equipment performance
Systems & Infrastructure
• Partner closely with CMMS leadership to ensure PM compliance, data integrity, and actionable reporting
• Support continuous improvement of maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution workflows
Required Experience & Background
• Industry Experience (Non-Negotiable)
• Experience in steel mills, specialty metals production, metal manufacturing, or heavy industrial plants with legacy equipment
• Familiarity with melt shops, blast furnaces, electric arc furnaces (EAF), forging, rolling mills, or similar equipment environments
• Experience modernizing maintenance practices in older, capital-intensive manufacturing facilities
Technical & Leadership Background
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or industrial operations leadership
• Demonstrated experience implementing Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) or similar reliability frameworks
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Experience working with CMMS platforms (IBM Maximo strongly preferred)
Leadership & Change Management
• Proven ability to lead multi-site initiatives without direct day-to-day authority over plant teams
• Comfortable driving change in established, legacy manufacturing environments
• Strong communicator who can influence plant leadership, engineers, and maintenance teams
• Strategic thinker who can build systems, processes, and culture—not just fix equipment
What Success Looks Like in This Role
• Preventive maintenance compliance and reliability KPIs improve across all sites
• Downtime becomes measurable, predictable, and reduced
• Maintenance standards become consistent across facilities
• Plant teams adopt corporate reliability processes
• Maintenance culture shifts from reactive to proactive
Benefits
• Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
• 401(k) with company match
• Paid time off
• Profit-sharing opportunities
• Career growth within a multi-site industrial manufacturing organization
• High visibility role with corporate engineering leadership
Why This Role is Unique
This is a rare opportunity to own reliability transformation across multiple legacy manufacturing plants. You’ll have the mandate to modernize maintenance systems, influence culture, and leave a visible footprint on how reliability is executed at scale across heavy industrial operations.
Benefits:
• 401(k) matching
• Dental insurance
• Health insurance
• Health savings account
• Life insurance
• Paid time off
• Parental leave
• Relocation assistance
• Retirement plan
