About the role
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take a lead role in delivering Quantity Surveying services, managing client relationships, and supporting the development of ORS’s Quantity Surveying capability. This role suits a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor who enjoys autonomy and influence within a growing team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial management of projects from inception to completion
Preparation and review of cost plans, cost reports, and cashflows
Oversight of procurement strategy and tender evaluation
Management of subcontractor accounts, variations, and final accounts
Identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities
Client-facing role, providing commercial advice and reporting
Mentoring and support of junior QS staff (as the team grows)
Contribution to the development of ORS QS processes and best practice
Essential Requirements
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
6+ years’ relevant Quantity Surveying experience
Chartered (MRICS) or working toward chartership desirable
Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract
Proven experience managing projects independently
Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
Irish project experience essential
