We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality & Compliance Manager to lead quality assurance, security, and regulatory compliance programs within a transportation and logistics operation in Glenwood, IL. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in industry certifications, audit management, and transportation compliance standards.
The selected candidate will serve as the organization’s subject-matter expert for quality, security, and regulatory requirements, ensuring full compliance with domestic and international standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage company-wide quality assurance, security, and compliance programs across transportation and logistics operations
• Maintain and oversee certifications including TAPA, CTPAT, AMEX9, Bonded Carrier, and ISO standards
• Prepare for, coordinate, and lead internal and external audits, ensuring full regulatory compliance
• Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to quality, risk management, and security protocols
• Monitor ongoing compliance with U.S. and international transportation regulations
• Identify operational risks and implement corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA)
• Collaborate with operations and executive leadership to drive process improvements
• Maintain detailed compliance documentation, reporting systems, and audit records
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with quality management systems
Requirements:
• Proven hands-on experience with TAPA, CTPAT, AMEX9, Bonded Carrier Certification, and ISO compliance standards
• Background in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations
• Demonstrated experience leading compliance programs and managing audits end-to-end
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and security standards within the transportation industry
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
• Exceptional analytical, documentation, and organizational skills
• Executive-level communication and leadership capabilities
• Detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-driven approach
